ABOUT DAVE

Dave Weber Jr has been an active and dedicated public servant, serving as Northport Village Trustee from September 2020 to March 2024. His commitment extends beyond this role, having held key positions such as Commissioner of Commerce, Commissioner of Docks and Waterways, Commissioner of Highways (from 2020 to 2021), and Commissioner of Parks (from 2020 to 2021). Additionally, he serves as Commissioner of Wastewater Treatment helping to upgrade and expand our sewer system.

In the community, Dave Weber Jr is recognized for his service as an ex-captain of the Northport Fire Department and continues to contribute as a current active member. He played a crucial role on the Cow Harbor Warriors board and is a founding member of Rotary R.E.A.C.H.  Rotary Environmental Action Coalition of Huntington. Since 1996, Dave and his family has owned Seymour’s Boatyard, a local downtown historic business that celebrated 100 years on Northport’s waterfront.

His dedication to community service earned him accolades, including the prestigious Anchor Award by the Northport Journal in 2023, symbolizing his role as a cornerstone of the community. The Huntington Times recognized Trustee Weber as Man of the Year in 2023 in the community category, acknowledging his outstanding contributions and support for veterans. 

Dave Weber Jr has spearheaded impactful projects, focusing on environmental stewardship, cost savings for residents, and community well-being. His initiatives include advocating for LED lighting, organizing beach cleanups, and ensuring the safety of our docks. Notably, he played a key role in projects such as the Flupsy Oyster initiative, sugar kelp planting for harbor water filtration, sewer expansion, and securing grant funding for various community projects. As a third-generation resident, Dave remains committed to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and good governance, promising to continue these efforts if reelected.
